Paula has over fifteen years of experience in human resources including experience in the development and management of large projects and organizational change initiatives. Her background includes program design and administration in both the public and private sectors as a staff member and as an external consultant. She is an accomplished facilitator/trainer and public speaker with extensive experience in curriculum development and facilitation of customized training programs.
Paula holds a bachelors of science in Business Management. She received her Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation in 1987 from the International Foundation of Employee Benefits and the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania and holds the designation of Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR). Paula has also completed an Executive Coaching Certification Program through the Leadership Institute of Seattle (LIOS) and Bastyr University.
Paula is an active member of the community. She has been a long term board member and officer of Seattle Emergency Housing Services, a local non-profit agency that provides emergency and transitional housing to homeless families. She is also a past President and long time board member of the Pacific Northwest Chapter of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists (ISCEBS) and a current member of the following organizations:
- Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM)
- American Society of Training & Development (ASTD)
- International Association of Performance Improvement (ISPI)
- International Consortium for Coaching in Organizations (ICCO)
Paula is an avid student of human nature and her professional career has afforded her the opportunity to work in many different industries (transportation, telecommunications, technology, manufacturing, consulting, government and non-profit social services) with both large and small organizations. Unfailing love and commitment along with a good sense of humor have seen her and her husband through 30 plus years of marriage and the raising of two wonderful children. The combination of these professional and personal experiences, along with a passion for life-long learning, self-development and helping others achieve their goals, has made her one of the most effective business consultants and executive coaches in the greater Seattle area.
